CENTRAL CALIFORNIA BLUES
MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Central California Blues to provide programs to the youth of Bakersfield and its surrounding areas where they can remain physically fit, become active and responsible members of their community, while learning the game of soccer. The Blues also stress the importance of education and look to encourage all participants to achieve academic excellence so that they may pursue an education far beyond high school. The organization looks to assist all children within its means regardless of age, race, religious background, or economic status.
Objectives of the Central California Blues is to develop and maintain the top soccer talent in Central California from U-9 to U-19; develop excellence in individual and team performance through a consistent and comprehensive pyramid of development; strive to provide players with professional level training; provide players with the best possible playing environments; and finally, to develop and nurture skills necessary to play at soccer’s highest level.
In addition, the Central California Blues supports its mission statement by developing the leaders of tomorrow from the youth of its club. The Blues successfully help its players become interested in college and earn college scholarships. The Central California Blues goals include developing well rounded athletes who can succeed in life both on and off the soccer field. The Blues believe its goals are achieved through teaching good sportsmanship, self respect, a good work ethic, the importance of education, and the value of diversity. Also, the Blues mission is to create a program in which players of any background participate in sports programs under and academy-like environment and communicate the importance of community service and continuing education.
